Sinking - there she goes
With wounds much deeper than she could bear
The poor little girl
Innocent & beautiful - how is this fair?
Hair that was once held back by purple ribbons
Now tangled by a forceful current
Twirling, swirling, sucked in by this torrent
Her breath is engulfed - the drift is swift
All the while she remains graceful
Sinking slowly - there she goes
There she goes - sinking slowly
It is only water that directs her path now
Overwhelming her - it is this curl of water;
The very same that protects her
Sinking slowly there she goes - her head low
Dappled light forcing through the folds of water
Rays of sun piercing through the seams
The surging water sways her
Circulating around her - it holds all deem
Yet she is unmoved, serene
She has lost the fight - she is no longer keen
In her womb of water - protected & peaceful
It is her shielding
Condescendingly she goes - she is sinking
